
Waldheim’s Worthington signs AHL contract with Manitoba Moose
The Manitoba Moose of the American Hockey League (AHL) announced earlier this morning that they have signed Waldheim, Sask. goaltender Alex Worthington to a two-year contract through the 2026-27 season.
Worthington spent this past season with the Edmonton Oil Kings in the Western Hockey League (WHL), posting a 22-18-0-2 (W-L-OTL-SOL) record supported by a 2.99 GAA and .902 SV%. He also suited up in two playoff games against the Prince Albert Raiders in round one of the 2025 playoffs, going 1-1. In 48 career WHL appearances, the 6’3”, 178-pound puck stopper holds a record of 23-23-0-2 with a 3.25 GAA and .895 SV%.
Worthington also played in 10 games for Briercrest College in the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC), registering a 9-1-0-0 record to go with a 2.50 GAA and a .926 SV% while competing as the youngest player in the league.
