P.A. Police investigating series of break-ins at local gun store
Prince Albert Police are investigating after a number of break-ins over the last 10 days at the same firearm store in the city’s downtown area.
The first incident happened on June 25 when police were called to the 100 block of 14th Street East for an attempted break-and-enter. Upon arrival, officers learned that two other break-in attempts were made over the previous two nights.
Two days later on June 27, police were called back to the business for a report of another attempted break-and-enter. Officers, along with the Canine Unit, did a sweep of the building and found no suspects or any evidence that access was gained to the business.
Then on July 1, at around 4 a.m., police were called to the business for a break-and-enter where the suspect allegedly made off with multiple firearm scopes. The Canine Unit performed a track in an effort to locate the suspect but were unsuccessful.
