Search underway for suspects after armed robbery and stabbing on Red Pheasant

Jul 7, 2025 | 5:23 PM

RCMP are asking the public to keep an eye out for a blue four-door 2015 Hyundai Sonata after a robbery and stabbing early Monday morning on Red Pheasant Cree Nation, about 33 kilometres south of North Battleford.

Mounties said two men armed with a gun approached a home around 5:25 a.m. and confronted an occupant. A fight broke out when another man came outside, and he was stabbed before the suspects fled in a stolen vehicle.

The victim was taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Despite extensive searches, officers have not yet found the suspects or the car with Saskatchewan licence plate 786 LHD.

“Updates will be provided as they become available. If an imminent risk to public safety is identified, we will notify the public. Battlefords RCMP continue to investigate.”

Police are urging the public not to approach the vehicle if spotted, but to report any sightings by calling 310-RCMP (7267) or by submitting an anonymous tip to Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or online at www.saskcrimestoppers.com.
