Manhut underway for two men wanted in armed robbery on Red Pheasant

Jul 10, 2025 | 10:40 AM

Battlefords RCMP are asking the public to report any sightings of two men wanted in connection to a robbery and assault investigation earlier this week on Red Pheasant Cree Nation.

Mounties said 22-year-old Lorenz Paskimin and 25-year-old Silas Soosay face multiple charges including robbery with a firearm, assault with a weapon, pointing a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, unauthorized possession of a firearm, possessing a firearm in a motor vehicle and failing to comply with a release order.

The charges stem from an incident on July 7 when two men stole a vehicle from a residence after stabbing a man. The victim received non-life threatening injuries and police recovered the stolen blue Hyundai Sonata later that day.

Paskimin is described as about five-foot-eleven and 161 pounds, with brown eyes, short brown hair and multiple tattoos on his neck and face, including a teardrop and small numbers on his cheeks.

Soosay is about six-foot-two and 220 pounds, with brown eyes, short black hair and tattoos on his face, including numbers above his eyebrows.

RCMP said the men are known to travel to Red Pheasant Cree Nation and North Battleford, as well as Maskwacis, Alta.

Police are warning the public not to approach the men, but to report any sightings to RCMP at 310-RCMP or anonymously through Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or www.saskcrimestoppers.com.
