North Stars acquire top forward Kent Moors from Estevan Bruins
The Battlefords North Stars have made a significant move ahead of the upcoming SJHL season, acquiring the rights to 2005-born forward Kent Moors from the Estevan Bruins in a multi-player trade that includes future considerations.
Moors, a dynamic offensive talent, led the Bruins in goals last season with 19 and finished third in team scoring with 40 points (19 goals, 21 assists). Known for his quick release and scoring instincts, the 5’11” winger adds firepower to the North Stars’ forward group.
Moors left the Bruins near the end of the 2024-25 campaign to join the Sherwood Park Crusaders of the BCHL, where he recorded 1 goal and 2 assists in 13 games. He also played in the BCHL during the 2022-23 season with the Cowichan Valley Capitals, a team where current North Stars head coach Connor Logan served as the Strength and Conditioning Coach, adding a familiar connection to the acquisition.
In exchange, the North Stars sent forward Rylan Williams, defensemen Logan Goodwin and Alex Scheck, and future considerations to the Bruins.
