Byelection called for Sucker River

A nomination meeting will be held later this month for an open councillor position in Sucker River.
The meeting will occur July 31 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Sucker River Reserve Band Hall.
Electronic voting will commence at 8:30 a.m. on Aug. 8 and conclude at 11:59 p.m. on Aug. 18. The byelection will take place Aug. 19 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Sucker River Reserve Band Hall.
The byelection is necessary after Devin Bernatchez resigned from the position in May. At the time, he stated in a letter he decided to resign because of family reasons.
