
Big River RCMP investigating province’s seventh fatal crash in seven days
Big River RCMP are investigating the province’s latest fatal collision after a pedestrian was killed on Big River First Nation earlier in the week.
This is the seventh fatal crash in Saskatchewan in the last seven days.
RCMP first received a report of the collision around 10:40 p.m. Wednesday. Officers, along with local EMS, STARS, and Big River First Nation Community Safety Officers, responded. The pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene. The victim has been identified as a 22-year-old woman from Big River First Nation.
The driver of the involved vehicle remained at the scene, and no charges have been laid.
