Armed robbers seeking AirPods avoid further jail time

A violent altercation that occurred in the parking lot area of Carlton Court Plaza in Prince Albert, has resulted in conditional sentences (CSO) and probation.

Cashton Bear-Paquette and Daniel English, who entered guilty pleas related to robbery, were both 18 years old at the time of the offence on Feb. 21, 2024.

A total four people were seen demanding items from two other people.

According to court records the items sought were AirPods and while a gun was used during the attempted robbery, there were no reports of injuries.

Both CSOs are for a period of 18 months and will be followed by two years probation.

A 10-year weapons prohibition was also ordered.

A 17-year-old was also arrested and similarily charged with robbery, as well as carrying a concealed weapon and possession of a dangerous weapon. The charge was later stayed by the Crown.
