Woman, youth charged after serious assault in Lloydminster

A 38-year-old woman and a teenage boy have been charged following a violent assault in the east end of Lloydminster last week.

RCMP said they were called to the scene on July 19, where they found a woman suffering from ‘significant injuries.’ She was taken to hospital for treatment, and her current condition is unknown.

Police said they quickly identified and arrested the two suspects.

Yolanda Scarlett of Lloydminster has been charged with aggravated assault and has been released on conditions. She is scheduled to appear in Saskatchewan Provincial Court in Lloydminster on Aug. 18.

Additionally, a teenage boy has been charged with assault causing bodily harm, overcoming resistance by choking, and uttering threats. He remains in custody and is also scheduled to appear in court.
