Pre-trial conference for man accused of murder in Melfort continues

A man charged after the death of a woman in a Melfort hotel will have his case return to court this fall.

Cody Chubey’s pre-trial conference was held at Court of King’s Bench in Melfort on Monday, and that will continue Oct. 20.

Chubey was charged with second-degree murder in connection to the death of Danielle Dobersheck in March of 2024.

The two had previously been in a long-term relationship.
