Victim in hit and run succumbs to injuries

One of the two people struck in a hit and run last week has died, the Prince Albert Police have advised.

The victim, a 34-year-old woman, died on Saturday.

The 54-year-old man who was with her and also struck is still in hospital and his condition is now listed as stable.

Police have found and seized the vehicle that was involved in the hit and run but it was unoccupied when they found it.

No arrests have been made yet.

A police officer was nearby when the hit and run happened around 10:13 p.m. on August 1 at the 1200 block Second Ave. West.

The officer witnessed the collision between the vehicle and pedestrians happen and stayed on scene to protect the two victims from further harm.
