Three running in Sucker River byelection

The individuals have put their names forward to become the next Lac La Ronge Indian Band councillor in Sucker River.
Larry McKenzie, Korrie Ratt and Mary Veuillot will all have their names on the ballot.
Electronic voting commenced Aug. 8 and is scheduled to conclude at 11:59 p.m. on Aug. 18. The byelection will take place Aug. 19 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Sucker River Reserve Band Hall.
The byelection is necessary after Devin Bernatchez resigned from the position in May. He was recently named as the constituency manager for Desnethé—Missinippi—Churchill River MP Buckley Belanger.
