For those of us who have loved Canadian football for some time, this weekend was a perfect example of what makes the CFL unique and entertaining. The total point spread for the four games was a total of 10 points with two games decided by one point, one by three and one by four.
The BC Lions started things rolling with a come from behind 41-38 overtime win which was thanks to the legs of quarterback Nathan Rourke and the BC defense coming off a bye week and a loss to Hamilton the last time the Lions were on the field.
The Lions are reminding me of a 1977 Pontiac Parisienne with a rebuilt engine trying to blow the carbon out with their team. They have the parts; they just don’t have them working in sync.
