North Battleford’s 110th Street infrastructure work on track for August completion

North Battleford’s underground pipe and asphalt replacement (UPAR) project remains on track to finish by the end of the month, according to the city’s latest public update.

Jaime Garcia, UPAR project manager, said crews have already installed about 780 metres of new PVC water and sewer mains, along with all service line replacements for residents who opted in. Concrete work began last week, with paving to follow shortly afterward.

“We could almost see the end of the project that would be completed this month,” Garcia said.

He added the project remains on schedule, with underground work completed by the July 31 target date.

The city also reminded residents to keep garbage bins in their usual locations after a missed pickup last week. Extra collection was arranged, and bins needed to remain at the curb overnight.

Parking restrictions have been lifted in the construction zone to reduce disruptions, and access to the water crane is being maintained from 110th Street.

The annual capital replacement program is focused this year on 110th Street, starting just south of Pioneer Avenue and extending north to the mid-block of the 900 block. That section marks the main portion of work planned for 2025. Sidewalk replacements are also being carried out along 110th Street and in other areas of the city.

The city’s next public UPAR update is scheduled for Aug. 19. For further details or updates, residents can visit cityofnb.ca/upar, call City Hall, or contact Garcia at 306-441-0359.
