Rudolph and Team Canada preparing for Hlinka-Gretzky semi-final

The round robin stage is done at the Hlinka-Gretzky Cup, and Prince Albert Raiders defenceman Daxon Rudolph has helped Canada to a 3-0 record. So far in the tournament, Rudolph has one goal and an assist as part of a high-scoring Canada team.

Before the start of the tournament, Rudolph was named one of the assistant captains for Canada.

Canada’s pool included Finland, Czechia, and Switzerland to start the tournament, all based out of Brno, Czechia. In the opening game, Rudolph was held pointless as Canada rolled on to a 5-3 win.

In the second game of the tournament, Canada met Switzerland. Canada took a 1-0 lead into the third period, but then they stepped on the gas in the third to score eight goals and take a 9-1 win, including an assist from Rudolph on Canada’s seventh goal of the game.

In the second play of this clip, Rudolph (wearing #25) can be seen holding the puck into the zone for Adam Valentini to clean up in front for Rudolph’s first point of the tournament.

In the third game, Canada dominated the host team Czechia with a 5-0 score, including the third goal which came from Rudolph.

Rudolph receives a pass from Sarnia Sting forward Beckham Edwards before firing a wrist shot home for Rudolph’s first goal of the tournament.

Canada had their day off on Thursday, and now with a 3-0 record Canada is set to take on the United States in the semi final. The U.S. went 2-1 during the round robin with a single loss to Sweden. You can watch Canada take on the U.S. on TSN,
