Nine people from Pinehouse facing charges after six vehicles stolen from Regina business

Nine people are facing charges after six vehicles were stolen from a Regina business last weekend.

According to the Regina Police Service, officers were called to the business on 12th Avenue East just after 10 a.m. on Aug. 9 after getting a report that the vehicles were stolen overnight.

“The approximate value of theft was upwards of $130,000,” the police force said in a statement.

“Investigators with the Regina Police Service Property Crimes Unit were called and launched an investigation.”

According to police, over the next six days, officers recovered four of the six stolen vehicles, and nine people are now facing charges.

The six people, ranging in age from 20 to 35, are variously charged with breaking and entering and committing theft, theft under $5,000, possession of property obtained by crime, and fraud over $5,000.

Eight of the group appeared in court earlier this week in Regina, while one of them will make his first appearance next month.

But despite making nine arrests, police said the investigation has not yet concluded.

Anyone with information that could help assist police was asked to contact the Regina Police Service or make an anonymous report through Crime Stoppers.
