The North Battleford Golf and Country Club Championship concluded this past weekend with dramatic finishes across all divisions, highlighted by standout performances from Scott Thompson and Janet George in the Men’s and Women’s divisions.

Men’s Championship

Scott Thompson emerged as the Men’s Club Champion after a thrilling two-round battle with Thomas Weikle. Both players carded identical 74s in Saturday’s opening round, setting the stage for a high-stakes showdown on Sunday.

Paired together in the final round, the duo went shot-for-shot early on. But it was Thompson who found another gear, firing an impressive 68, the lowest round of the tournament, securing the win with a two-day total of 142. Weikle stayed competitive with a solid 70, but finished two strokes back at 144.

The two remained neck-and-neck on Sunday, each shooting 86 to maintain the razor-thin margin. George’s consistency earned her the championship with a total of 173, while Gloe settled for second at 174.
