UPDATE: Increased police presence in East Hill

Aug 26, 2025 | 7:53 PM

UPDATE 8:45 P.M. – Police have concluded the police operation in the East Hill area of Prince Albert and members of the public are no longer asked to avoid the area.

A further update will be provided upon conclusion of the investigation or when new information becomes known.

The Prince Albert Police Service said it would like to thank members of the public for their cooperation in avoiding the area during the operation.

Members of the Prince Albert Police Service are currently conducting an ongoing investigation in the East Hill area of Prince Albert.

In a post on its social media page just before 7:30 p.m., the service said police presence currently exists and members of the public are asked to avoid the area, although they did not provide an address. Photos posted on social media show the RCMP’s Emergency Response Team (ERT) vehicle, city police officers and Saskatchewan Marshals Service members stationed near 5th Ave. E.

“An update will be provided upon conclusion of the investigation or when new information becomes known,” the post read.

The increased police presence is not believed to be related to an incident earlier in the day in which four people were arrested following a weapons complaint and vehicle collision.
