Conservation officers are asking the public for help after a cow moose was unlawfully shot and partially harvested on private land south of Paradise Hill.

Loon Lake officers responded to a Turn-In-Poachers and Polluters (TIPP) call on Aug. 24 and discovered the animal near Butte-St-Pierre.

Investigators said the moose is believed to have been killed early that morning and much of the meat was left to waste.

Officers collected evidence at the scene but are looking to identify those responsible.
