High risk offender nabbed by police in P.A.’s East Hill

A 26-year-old man who had been sought by the Prince Albert Police Service several times since 2023 is now behind bars.

Layne Epp was arrested without incident on warrants that include robbery with a firearm, assault with a weapon, uttering threats, evading police, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, obstructing justice and multiple charges of breaching his probation or release orders.

The police service conducted an operation in the East Hill at an apartment in the 3000 block of 5A Ave. E on Aug. 26. The Crime Reduction Team (CRT), Crisis Team, Prince Albert’s Emergency Response Team (ERT), plus the RCMP’s ERT, Combined Traffic Services, scribes, negotiators, and the Marshals all assisted in the operation.
