East Hill stabbing incident sends two people to hospital

Update: On Jan. 5, 2026, the charges were stayed by the Crown due to fact complainants could not be located.

A man and a woman were transported to hospital with stab wounds, following an incident Thursday night in Prince Albert’s East Hill area.

At approximately 7:30 p.m., police were called to the 500 block of 23rd Street East.

The arriving officers first located and arrested a man matching the description of the suspect. They then located the victims, a 38-year-old man and a 38-year-old woman.

It is believed the suspect and victims were known to each other.

A 31-year-old man was charged with assault with a weapon (x2) and failure to comply with a probation order. He appeared Friday at provincial court and was remanded to Sept. 8.
