Frost warning in effect for northeastern grainbelt
From temperatures reaching 30 °C to frost warnings in a matter of days – talk about a fluctuation in temperatures.
Environment Canada issued a frost warning Tuesday and said it may damage some crops in frost-prone areas.
The warning covers a portion of the northeastern grainbelt in Saskatchewan.
“Temperatures will approach zero degrees Celsius during the early morning hours and will begin to rebound shortly after sunrise,” the warning said. “Cover up plants, especially those in frost-prone areas. Take preventative measures to protect frost-sensitive plants and trees.”
