Suspect sought after assault of youth in Creighton

Creighton RCMP are looking for a 21-year-old man in connection to an assault in the community on Monday.

Police were called about a disturbance at a business at around midnight.

The investigation determined a man and a female youth entered the business and assaulted another female youth, who was taken to hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries.

A 16-year-old female was arrested and charged with assault causing bodily harm and breaking and entering with intent, and will be in Creighton Provincial Court Oct. 7.

A warrant has been issued for 21-year-old Preston Saam-Ackegan, who faces charges of:

• one count, breaking and entering with intent, Section 348(1)(a), Criminal Code;
• one count, assault with weapon, Section 267(a), Criminal Code;
• one count, possession of weapon for dangerous purpose, Section 88(1), Criminal Code;
• one count, uttering threats against a person, Section 264.1(1)(a), Criminal Code; and
• three counts, fail to comply with probation order, Section 733.1(1), Criminal Code.

Saam-Ackegan is 5’8”, 152 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair.
