Woman charged after man, youth assaulted at a home near Sturgeon Landing

A 56-year-old woman faces charges after an assault in the Sturgeon Landing area.
Creighton RCMP received a report of a serious assault in a home on Monday night.
Investigation revealed that the woman had assaulted a man and a youth in the home. The man was taken to hospital, where he was treated for serious injuries, while the youth was treated by EMS at the scene for non-life-threatening injuries.
The woman, Delores Ballantyne, was arrested at the scene and faces one count each of assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm, and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
