Driver uninjured after vehicle hits elk near Kinistino

The Kinistino Fire Department was called to a vehicle collision with wildlife Thursday night.

A vehicle struck an elk on Hwy 3 at about 10:45 p.m.

Crews arrived on scene and assessed the lone occupant of the vehicle while also setting up traffic control.

The driver, who was outside of the vehicle by the time crews arrived, was not injured.
