Two people, including self-proclaimed ‘Queen of Canada,’ facing charges after RCMP raid in Richmound
The woman who styles herself the “Queen of Canada” is one of two people facing charges after the RCMP made a number of arrests on Wednesday at the disused school in Richmound, Sask. that had become the headquarters for her and a group of followers.
While all 16 people were initially released without charges, the RCMP said five of them were released on an undertaking. According to the RCMP, early on Thursday officers determined that two of the individuals broke the condition of their undertakings that required them not to contact each other.
Both were re-arrested on Thursday near the former school, the RCMP said.
The RCMP said one of the two people was 50-year-old Romana Didulo, the group’s leader. She was charged with a single count of failing to comply with an undertaking and one count of intimidation of a justice system participant.
