A single vehicle rollover northwest of Christopher Lake has claimed the life of a 55-year-old man.

On September 7, at approximately 11:20 a.m., Prince Albert RCMP received a report of a single-vehicle rollover on Highway 953.

Officers responded along with local fire and EMS. The sole occupant of the vehicle was declared deceased by EMS at the scene.

Shawn McCullough was well-known in the community and in the past 24 hours, social media has been flooded with messages of condolences that describe his high energy and incredible sense of humor.

Prince Albert RCMP continue to investigate with the assistance of a Saskatchewan RCMP collision reconstructionist.

According to a social media post by the Lakeland and District Fire Dept., upon arriving on scene, crews arrived on scene and set up traffic control. Crews were then informed to set up for a STARS Ambulance landing zone.

Once the highway was shut down, crews maintained scene safety and control while waiting for RCMP and Parkland Ambulance.
