Arrest made after dangerous person alert at Big River First Nation

Update 6:50p.m.

RCMP arrested Drayden Mcadam on Big River First Nation and the dangerous person alert issued by the Saskatchewan RCMP for the Big River First Nation area has been cancelled.

There is not believed to be a heightened risk to public safety at this time. Should that change, RCMP will notify the public immediately. The investigation remains ongoing.

According to a statement provided to the media, there were reports of a person with a gun.

The suspect has been identified as Drayden Mcadam. He has brown eyes and black hair and was last seen wearing a black Vegas Knights hoodie and white pants.

He’s believed to be armed with a firearm and travelling on foot.

RCMP ask anyone in the area to find a safe location and stay inside.
