Both suspects arrested in Hall Lake robbery investigation

UPDATE: Gerry Roberts, the second man who had a warrant, has been arrested.

Police are searching for a man wanted in relation to a robbery on a business in Hall Lake.

An email to larongeNOW from Saskatchewan RCMP states on Sept. 8 at approximately 8:10 p.m., La Ronge RCMP received a report of a robbery at a business in Hall Lake. An investigation determined two men entered the business, threatened employees, and stole a sum of money and cigarettes.

The men left the business on foot and no physical injuries were reported to police.

As a result of the investigation, 31-year-old John Ross is charged with one count of robbery and he is scheduled to appear in La Ronge Provincial Court Sept. 11.

In addition, a warrant has been issued for the arrest of 43-year-old Gerry Roberts, who is charged with one count of robbery and one count of failing to comply with release order condition. RCMP are asking members of the public to report sightings and information on his whereabouts.

Roberts is described as 6-1 with a heavy build. He has brown eyes (may be wearing glasses), short black hair, and he has a tattoo on his right forearm.
