La Ronge RCMP arrest man facing weapons charges

RCMP members from the La Ronge detachment are looking for a 37-year-old man in connection with a weapons incident several days ago.

Officers were called to a home on Chief James Robert Drive on Sept. 7 to deal with a man with a gun.

The investigation revealed an interaction between two men and a woman inside the home that led to one of the men pointing a gun at the woman.

Both men then left the home, one fleeing in an SUV and the other on an ATV. The gun was not discharged, and no one was injured.

John Sanderson of La Ronge is now facing multiple weapons charges, and a warrant has been issued for his arrest.

Sanderson, who commonly goes by the name ‘Stinker’, is described as:

Police are actively searching for him and are asking the public to report any sightings or information on his whereabouts.
