A 31-year-old woman is facing charges of sexual assault and sexual interference, as well as making sexually explicit material available to a person under the age of sixteen.

Watrous RCMP initially received a report about a sexual assault in July. The Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) unit assisted in the investigation and determined the woman sexually assaulted a teenaged boy. On Sept. 9, officers executed a search warrant on a rural residence in the Watrous detachment area and arrested the woman, who is not being named to protect the privacy of the victim.

She is scheduled to appear in Saskatoon Provincial Court on Oct. 6, 2025
