Horse shot near Silver Park

RCMP in Melfort are asking the public for help in solving the shooting of a horse last week.

A mare was shot near Silver Park last Friday afternoon.

A social media post from the owner of the horse said the animal was gravely wounded and had to be put down.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact them at 310-RCMP or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
