RCMP in Lloydminster arrested four people, including a 34-year-old Edmonton man, after a police operation involving a stolen vehicle investigation.

Mounties said officers were called to a residence on Sept. 18, where the suspect fled following an earlier encounter with police.

After obtaining a warrant, officers entered the home and arrested those inside.

Three of the individuals were released on conditions with charges pending.

The fourth person, identified as Jesse Dillon of Edmonton, faces several charges including dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, possession of property obtained by crime, operation of a vehicle while prohibited, obstructing police, flight from police and breach of a court order.

Dillon was remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear before the Alberta Court of Justice in Lloydminster on Sept. 23.

“We would like to thank the public for their cooperation during this police operation,” Cpl. Kelly Sikorski said in a release issued Sept. 19.

“We understand that certain homes and areas have been receiving more calls for service due to concerns of possible criminal activity. Lloydminster RCMP is committed to helping create safe communities to live in and asks the public to call in any suspicious activity that may be linked to criminality or to the harboring of criminals.”
