Muskeg Lake and Blaine Lake confirm ongoing partnership with new agreement
A freshly signed agreement between Muskeg Lake Cree Nation and the Town of Blaine Lake represents a shared vision for collaboration in housing, infrastructure, and community development.
That’s according to a social media post on Monday. Representatives from both the band and the town participated in the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
“Our communities have always had good relations — this represents a further commitment to our relationship with Blaine Lake,” Chief Kelly Wolfe stated.
Muskeg Lake owns 10 homes in Blaine Lake and over 40 Muskeg Lake students attend Blaine Lake Composite School. Recently, Muskeg Lake purchased 10.8 acres of land in Blaine Lake to support future development opportunities.
