Four people arrested and fifth wanted after armed robbery at Sturgeon Lake First Nation

Four people have been arrested and a fifth is wanted after an armed robbery this week at Sturgeon Lake First Nation.

The incident occurred Tuesday afternoon and the RCMP’s investigation determined a female was approached by a group of individuals outside a residence. A male pointed a firearm at the female and demanded the keys to her truck.

The group of individuals then left in the stolen vehicle.

At approximately 5:30p.m., officers located a female on a grid road on Wahpeton First Nation and she was arrested.

Shortly after, officers located and arrested two males and a female at a residence on Wahpeton Dakota First Nation.

The investigation determined the suspects abandoned the stolen vehicle behind a residential property and broke into a residence where they were later located by police.

Zena Daniels, 20, has been charged with failing to comply with release order conditions. She was also arrested on an outstanding warrant from Prince Albert RCMP.

Alyssa Bear, 23, and Jayden Sutherland, 25, were charged with break and enter.

Paul Ermine, 32, from Sturgeon Lake First Nation was charged with break and enter, using an imitation firearm in an offence, and robbery with a weapon.

Daniels, Bear and Sutherland, and Ermine are all from Sturgeon Lake First Nation and on Thursday appeared at Prince Albert Provincial Court.

A warrant has been issued for Toby Daniels’s arrest. The 27-year-old, also from Sturgeon Lake First Nation is charged with using an imitation firearm in an offence, and robbery with a weapon.

Prince Albert RCMP are asking members of the public to report sightings and information on his whereabouts.
