Onion Lake RCMP have seized cocaine, magic mushrooms and a firearm during two traffic stops this month.

The first was on Sept. 6 at around 8:20 p.m., when RCMP in Onion Lake were making proactive patrols and conducted a traffic stop that involved a truck.

An adult male and two adult females were arrested following an investigation that took place at the scene after 25 grams of cocaine and drug trafficking paraphernalia were found inside the vehicle.

As a result, 33-year-old Gloria Wolfe of Onion Lake was charged with one count of cocaine possession for the purpose of trafficking. She is scheduled to appear in Lloydminster Provincial Court on Nov. 5.

The adult male and the other adult female were released without charge.

A week later, on Sept. 13 at around 2:40 a.m., RCMP pulled over a van and arrested two males and a female after a firearm was seized during a subsequent search of the vehicle, along with 36 grams of cocaine, 55 grams of psilocybin (magic mushrooms) and drug trafficking paraphernalia.

Following their investigation, Colewyn Montana, 24, and Navarro Lane, 25, both from Onion Lake, were each charged with two counts of drug possession for the purpose of trafficking, and one count each of careless use of a firearm, possession of a firearm when knowing possession is unauthorized, possession of a firearm/weapon/device/ammunition in a motor vehicle and tampering with the serial number of a firearm.

Lane is additionally charged with taking a motor vehicle/vessel without the consent of the owner.

Both Montana and Lane are scheduled to appear in Lloydminster Provincial Court on Oct. 6.
