Onion Lake man charged after serious assault: RCMP
A 21-year-old man from Onion Lake Cree Nation is facing multiple charges after RCMP responded to a report of a serious assault last week.
Police say officers were called to a residence on the First Nation around 1:25 p.m. on Sept. 24. An injured man was located and assessed by EMS at the scene for what were described as non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigators determined an altercation between two men at the residence led to the victim’s injuries. The suspect fled on foot but was later arrested the same day at another home on Onion Lake Cree Nation.
Romeo Dillon, 21, is charged with assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, uttering threats, and failing to comply with a probation order.
