Battlefords North Stars set for back-to-back games against Melfort Mustangs
It’s the first game in 10 days for the Battlefords North Stars (2-1-0-0) who are on the road to take on the defending champion Melfort Mustangs (2-1-0-1).
It’s also the first taste of interdivision play for both of these teams who have only played against divisional opponents thus far.
The North Stars last game came against the Warman Wolverines when they got the 5-2 win at home led by a two-goal performance from Stars defenseman Linken Fisher.
The Mustangs are coming off of a 2-1 shootout loss against the Flin Flon Bombers. Kason Kobelka stopped 37 of 38 shots that game but it wasn’t enough. Bo Eisner was the only goal scorer for Melfort.
