P.A. Police arrest man who’s been wanted since mid-August

Prince Albert Police have arrested a man who was being sought by Mounties in connection to an incident back in February.

Waskesiu RCMP and Saskatchewan RCMP’s Prince Albert Warrant Enforcement and Suppression Team (WEST) asked the public in August 2025 to keep an eye out for 25-year-old Xavier Smith, who was wanted by police for charges including aggravated assault, pointing a firearm and unauthorized possession of a firearm.

P.A. Police arrested Smith on Sept. 22 in Prince Albert, and he appeared in P.A. Provincial Court on Friday, Oct. 3.
