A woman who was arrested after a gun incident in Prince Albert’s East Flat area has entered not guilty pleas.

As per discussions heard on Friday in provincial court, Blair Ballantyne will face trial Jan. 20.

In relation to the events that occurred last April, Ballantyne is facing eight gun-related charges, including unauthorized possession, possession of a prohibited weapon, and unsafe storage of a firearm.

Police were called to the 900 block of Seventh Street East for a weapons complaint.

Initial information stated there was a woman with a gun, and then a second caller stated there were two women with guns who were attempting to break into.

Officers set up on both sides of the residence. An injured male exited the house and was treated by Parkland Ambulance and transported to hospital.

Ballantyne was arrested at the scene and was found carrying ammunition. A second woman wanted on outstanding warrants was also arrested.

A firearm was located inside the residence.
