RCMP investigating fatal crash near Lanigan

Humboldt RCMP are investigating a fatal two-vehicle collision that happened last night.

Police were called to the junction of Highway 16 and Highway 20, west of Lanigan, at around 7:30 p.m., where an SUV and a tractor-trailer unit collided.

Officers, along with local fire and EMS, responded to the crash. One of the passengers of the SUV was declared deceased by EMS, and has since been identified as a man from another country. No further information was released about the victim.

The driver and two other passengers were in the SUV at the time of the collision and were transported to hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening.
