Local emergency responders were called to a pair of incidents over the weekend.

The Wakaw/Hoodoo Fire Department was called to a two-vehicle collision at the junction of Highway 2 and 41 on Saturday.

The department said on social media that there were injuries at the scene.

A detour was set up at the scene, and the department reminded motorists that they are keeping scenes clear to help with safety.

“We realize the traveling public may be inconvenienced for a short time and may require additional information,” their post read. “Please be patient with the First Responders as they are volunteers helping during a time when others are more inconvenienced than you maybe.”

Meanwhile, the Kinistino Fire Department was called to a ruptured gas line at James Smith Cree Nation on Sunday.

Crews evacuated the home and set up a safety zone around the property until SaskEnergy was able to repair the line.
