Kobelka, Roberts named SJHL Players of the Week

A pair of local goaltenders have been named to the SJHL Players of the Week list.

The SGEU MVP of the Week is Kaden Kobelka of the Melfort Mustangs.

The rookie backup helped Melfort earn two wins over the Battlefords North Stars this past week.

He made 51 saves in the two wins, with a 0.96 goals-against-average, and .962 save percentage.

The SaskTel Goalie of the Week is Gage Roberts of the Nipawin Hawks.

Roberts was also 2-0 on the week, with a stellar 1.50 goals-against-average and .956 save percentage as the Hawks continued their red-hot start to the campaign.

Meanwhile, Kale Margolis of the Melville Millionaires was selected as the Canterra Seeds Saskatchewan Player of the Week.

The Kinistino native finished with a goal and five assists in three games after arriving from Tri-City of the WHL.
