Nipawin Hawks in CJHL Top 20 rankings; Melfort Mustangs honourable mention

The Nipawin Hawks have entered the Canadian Junior Hockey League (CJHL) Top 20 rankings.

The Hawks are now ranked number 16 in the nation, after a hot start to the season.

Nipawin is 4-1 out of the gate, including a 3-1 victory at home against Estevan on Friday.

They will host the La Ronge Ice Wolves at the Centennial Arena Tuesday night.

The Melfort Mustangs are honourable mentions with their 4-1-0-1 start.

Melfort beat Battlefords 3-2 in a shootout on Friday, and 2-0 on the road the following night.

The Mustangs will head south to face Weyburn and Estevan this weekend.

The 6-0 Flin Flon Bombers are in fourth place in the rankings, with the MJHL’s Selkirk Steelers holding first place with an 8-0 record.
