Skilliter elected to town council

The council table in La Ronge is full once again.

Bruce Skilliter was elected on Wednesday with 174 votes.

Glen Watchel was runner-up with 56 votes, followed by Ken Beaven with 46 votes, and Cody Docken with 30 votes.

The by-election was necessary after the sudden resignation of Terry Hunt.

Hunt decided to resign back in May due to what he considered to be political infighting, administrative pushback, and a lack of progress.
