Prince Albert jiu-jitsu athletes leave it all on the mat at Sask. Cup

Prince Albert was well represented this past weekend at the Canadian League of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu’s Sask Cup event in Saskatoon.

North Wake Martial Arts placed second overall as a group in the Kids Gi division and Kids No Gi. The club took home a total of 12 gold, 11 silver, and nine bronze.

Craig Wicks – gold (men’s no gi, advanced, 181.6 pounds)

Kyle Warner – gold (men’s gi, white, 168 pounds), silver (men’s no gi, white)

Tymofiy Kvashulko – second (men’s gi, blue, 181.6 pounds), second (men’s no gi, blue)

Hunter Hill – third (men’s gi, blue, 181.6 pounds)

Jasper Mackie – gold (kids 6-7 gi, white)

Westin Lara – gold (kids 6-7, grey), gold (no gi)

Logan Nagy – bronze (kids 6-7, no gi, beginner)

Eric Nagy – gold (kids 8-9, gi, white), bronze (no gi)

Rachelle Mikhaela Velarde – gold (kids 8-9 gi, white)

Augustus Friesen – gold (kids 8-9 gi. grey), gold (no gi)

Aurora Jubenvil – gold (kids 8-9 gi), silver (no gi)

Thomas Driedger – silver (kids 8-9 no gi)

Avery Tupper – bronze (kids 8-9, no gi)

Henry Jubenvil – bronze (kids 8-9, no gi)

Gabriel Mackie – gold (kids 8-9, no gi)

Cahli Parenteau – bronze (kids 10-11 gi)

Zuska Maclean – silver (kids 10-11, gi, grey), silver (no gi)

The BJJ Lab sent one competitor.

In total, there were over 360 registered competitors at the event that was held at the fieldhouse.
