Mustangs, Hawks, Broncos represented at Western All-Star Showcase

Several local players are taking part in the Western All-Star Showcase in Martensville Nov. 3-5.

The event, featuring players from both the SJHL and MJHL, is a tryout for Team Canada West’s entry in the Junior A World Challenge in Quebec in December.

Three Melfort Mustangs are on the list, including defenseman Tao Flory, forward Tristin Ziola, and goaltender Kason Kobelka.

Forward Will Whitter will represent the Nipawin Hawks at the Showcase, while four Humboldt Broncos forwards will be taking part: Rylan Hue, Kristian Lacelle, Tyce Penrod, and Connor Miller.

Team Canada West Head Coach Trevor Blevins of the Melfort Mustangs and Carter Hansen of the Humboldt Broncos will be head coach and associate coach.
