Tisdale Trojans lose to P.A. in overtime

The Tisdale Trojans earned a point on the road against the Prince Albert Mintos last night.

They took their U18 AAA rivals to overtime, but lost 5-4.

Tisdale led 2-1 after one period, thanks to a pair of goals by Jacob Tait.

The teams were tied 4-4 after two periods, with Trojan goals from Preston Hoppe and Jacob Tait with his hat-trick tally.

There was no scoring in the third. Cruz Stacey ended the game for the Mintos in overtime.

Tait had 3 goals and an assist in the game, while Hoppe scored once and added three helpers.

Wyatt Fleischhacker stopped 26 shots for the Trojans, who are now 5-5-1 on the season.

Eight of Tisdale’s 11 games so far have been on the road, but they will return to the RECplex Saturday and Sunday to face the Saskatoon Blazers.
