A trio of robberies in Prince Albert on Sunday were allegedly committed by one man.

The city’s police service confirmed a suspect was arrested on Monday, but they did not say whether any charges had been laid or when the man may appear in court.

The first incident occurred at approximately 11:30 a.m..Police officers were called to a business in the 600 block of 15th Ave. E. for a robbery in progress.

Upon police arrival the suspect had fled the scene, however, officers learned he was wearing a black mask, dark jacket, ripped jeans, and black shoes.

The suspect allegedly confronted staff with a knife and demanded money before fleeing with an undisclosed amount of money and merchandise. There were no physical injuries as a result.

Members of the Forensic Identification Section attended the scene along with a member of the Canine Unit. A K9 track was conducted but was unsuccessful.

While at the first call, officers were dispatched to another business across the street for a report of a robbery. Officers learned a male with the same description brandished a knife and demanded money, however, eventually fled the scene without any money or merchandise.

There were no physical injuries as a result of this incident and it is believed this incident occurred prior to the first call for service.

Then at 8:55 p.m. the same day, officers responded to a business in the 800 block of Fifth St. E. for a robbery in progress. Initial information stated staff was threatened with a knife but fled the scene in a dark coloured vehicle after being confronted by staff.

The suspect matched the description of the person involved in the first two robberies.

Through continued investigation, officers located the vehicle on Monday, travelling westbound on River Street East. Officers were able to arrest the male driver shortly after.
