Broncos’ netminder stops pucks for cancer research
Humboldt Broncos goaltender Charlie Tritt spent the entire month of October stopping pucks for cancer research.
Tritt participated in the October Saves Goalie Challenge, which saw him fundraise for every save he made during the month of October.
“I had heard about this challenge and had done some similar kinds of fundraisers on my own back when I was in high school, so I decided that this year I wanted to participate in it and see how much I could raise,” Tritt told northeastNOW.
“I think it’d be pretty hard to find someone who doesn’t know someone who’s had cancer, and for me personally, three of my grandparents have had cancer. Unfortunately, two of them passed away, but luckily, my grandmother is a cancer survivor, so this initiative was just really important for me to do and just support the cause.”
